Frequently Asked Questions
Can sleep support be covered by insurance in Ontario?
Yes, depending on your insurance plan, all or part of your program may be eligible for reimbursement when services are provided by a Registered Social Worker (RSW). Coverage varies by provider and plan.
Is all of the program covered?
Some families receive partial coverage, while others receive reimbursement for the majority or entirety of the eligible portion of their program. Coverage depends on your specific benefits plan, annual limits, and whether you have access to health care spending or wellness accounts.
Do you only offer More Than Sleep?
No. In addition to our integrated More Than Sleep programs, we also offer the option to work directly with a Registered Social Worker who is also trained in pediatric sleep support. This can be a great fit for families specifically looking for benefits-eligible support.
What is the difference between More Than Sleep and working directly with a Social Worker?
More Than Sleep combines support from both a sleep consultant and a Registered Social Worker, offering a highly collaborative and comprehensive approach.
Our Social Worker-led option provides direct support from a Registered Social Worker with sleep expertise and may allow for a larger portion of the program to be eligible for reimbursement depending on your insurance plan.
Can I use my health care spending account or wellness account?
In many cases, yes. Families are often able to submit out-of-pocket portions through health care spending accounts or wellness benefits, depending on their plan.
Do you provide invoices for insurance submission?
Yes. We provide detailed invoices that families can submit directly to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
Do you direct bill insurance companies?
At this time, we do not offer direct billing. Families pay upfront and submit invoices afterward.
Are both parents able to participate?
Yes. Sleep challenges affect the entire family, and participating caregivers are welcome to be involved throughout the process.
What ages do you support?
We support families with children ranging from 16 weeks through age 5.
