Celia Saunders, RSW, MSW

Registered Social Worker, Mom of Two, Baby Gear Obsessed, and Animal Lover with the Friendliest Cat Named Pip

I’m a mom to two young sons with a 17-month age gap, and I learned very quickly just how essential sleep is to overall family wellbeing and functioning. With a background as a Registered Social Worker and lived experience parenting two toddlers, I understand both the emotional and practical challenges families face in the early years.

With over 10 years of experience supporting children and their families, I’ve seen firsthand the strong connection between parental wellbeing and child development. I also know from personal experience that even the most well-intentioned parents can struggle to show up as their best selves when they’re underslept and exhausted.

Before joining Have Baby. Must Sleep., I naturally became the go-to support person for friends and family navigating the challenges of parenting, particularly around sleep. Combining my professional training with my passion for all things parenting, I felt drawn to formally pursue this work and support families in a more intentional way.

I support families as they navigate some of the earliest and most emotionally complex aspects of parenting, including teaching independent sleep skills. For many parents, this can be one of the first times they’re asked to prioritize long-term family wellbeing over short-term comfort, which can bring up feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. I provide calm, compassionate guidance to help families feel supported, confident, and empowered throughout the process.

I firmly believe that parenting is hard, and parents can do hard things. My goal is to help families feel rested, confident, and supported as they build a strong foundation for healthy sleep and family life.

Note: Celia is in the progress of completing her sleep certification and will be offering sleep services soon.
