Meet Karen Nussbaum

Certified Senior Pediatric Sleep Consultant, MSW Candidate and Mom of Two

Karen Nussbaum is a Certified Senior Pediatric Sleep Consultant with six years of experience helping hundreds of families transform exhaustion into rest. Trained through The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting™ and currently completing her Master of Social Work, Karen brings both clinical insight and genuine empathy to every family she works with.

Her path into sleep consulting was a personal one. As a mom of two energetic boys, Karen experienced firsthand the toll that sleep deprivation takes — not just on babies, but on the whole family. That experience became her purpose: helping tired, anxious parents gently and confidently teach their children to sleep well, so the whole household can thrive.

Karen's approach is warm, evidence-informed, and deeply attuned to the needs of each family. Whether you're navigating newborn sleep, toddler regressions, or simply need your nights back, she'll guide you with the tools, support, and reassurance to make it happen.

If you're ready to trade exhaustion for restful nights and show up as the parent you want to be, Karen can help you turn that dream into a reality. Book a call below and take the first step toward sleep that actually sticks.

  • All the raving reviews about Karen are true! She is professional, caring, accessible and will have your baby sleeping through the night in no time!”

  • We worked with Karen and Sarah to sleep train our 2.5 year old daughter. We were anxious and nervous about sleep training her since she was a toddler and thought it was too late. Both Karen and Sarah were there to talk us through our feelings and guided us throughout the entire process. They were supportive and understanding of where we were, and provided the right guidance and resources for us. And the result? Our daughter now sleeps through the night! We are so grateful that we got to work with them; it truly changed our life for the better.”

  • My husband and I sought Karen's help in sleep training our first daughter several years ago with a lot of success. When we had our second daughter, we didn't think twice to reach out again. Prior to sleep training our second daughter, my husband and I were rocking and bouncing her to sleep for naps and night time sleep. With Karen's help, we were finally able to get her to fall asleep without our assistance. We're still working on nap lengthening, but it's such a relief to be able to lay our daughter down for naps and bedtime and know she'll fall asleep. Karen's help also comes with lots of resources for future hiccups, as baby sleep is always changing. It's been super helpful to reference the guidelines as our daughter gets older.”

  • “This was the best decision I've made regarding my baby's sleep! Karen helped me and by baby through every step of the way. I was nervous to being the program and implementing a new routine but this program has given me confidence to be able to get my baby to independently sleep. I can't recommend it enough!”

  • We can’t say enough good things about our sleep trainer Karen. We were honestly skeptical at first, especially about middle-of-the-night feeds and whether we were doing the right thing for our baby. She walked us through everything calmly, confidently, and without judgment. What stood out most was how personalized the plan felt. It wasn’t cookie-cutter — it was tailored to our baby and to us as parents. She explained the “why” behind every step, which made it so much easier to stay consistent. Within a short time, we saw real progress — longer stretches, better naps, and a much happier household overall. More importantly, we feel empowered now. We understand our baby’s sleep cues and feel confident handling regressions or disruptions. If you’re on the fence, do it. Sleep training felt overwhelming before we started, and now it feels manageable and sustainable. Total game changer for our family.”
