Meet Michelle Cukier

Registered Social Worker, Certified Sleep Consultant, Mom and Reality TV fan

I’m a Registered Social Worker with 10 years of experience and a Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant by The Institute of Pediatric Sleep and Parenting™.  I’m also a Mom to two young children and know first hand how lack of sleep can impact us and those closest to you. I’m in the thick of it right now!

When you’re a person who values your sleep, being a new mom can really rock your world. The ability to feel like yourself while navigating your role as a new parent is a challenging one (these feelings can remerge with subsequent children).

As a therapist and sleep consultant, I understand that sleep is a need (not a luxury) and the important role it plays in helping us regulate and manage stress. As a parent, getting my children rested has been key to helping me be the best version of myself.  This is why I’m so incredibly passionate about restoring rest to your entire family and ensuring your transition to being a new (or new again) parent is a seamless one.

Becoming a parent does not mean you’ll never sleep again. I strive to help families get rest and feel like themselves again and am grateful I can help parents reach a new (and rested normal).

Hear from our happy families

  • Working with Andria and Michelle at Have Baby Must Sleep was truly wonderful. After nearly a year of my baby only sleeping on me, they helped us reach the point where he now sleeps through the night, something I didn’t think was possible! I’ve worked with other sleep consultants before, but this was the first time I received truly individualized support that felt like talking to a good friend. They were recommended to me from a friend and I couldn’t recommend them more!”

  • “Our lives changed for the better since night one of sleep training. My 9 month old had spent months refusing bedtime, waking up all hours of the night, taking over our bed, and napping inconsistently. Emily offered personable and professional support, which gave us the confidence to practice techniques that helped our baby fall asleep in his crib on his own, and stay there. We completed this package 5 months ago, and we've since been able to navigate sleep regressions and nap transitions thanks to what we learned. Michelle was our RSW - I didn't realize the importance of this aspect to the More than Sleep+ package when signing up, but having a RSW was invaluable and I am so grateful to her for helping me navigate life postpartum.
We loved Emily and Michelle so much that we signed up again to sleep train our 3.5 year old, who had been pushing the boundaries of sleep for over a year. The approach at this age is different, but the results have been incredible. For the first time since becoming parents we don't live in fear of bedtime, and can enjoy time to ourselves. Our house is happier and healthier now that we have better sleep habits.”

  • “I reached out to Michelle when our 6.5-month-old was waking up every hour at night and needed rocking and feeding to fall back asleep. Naps were so hard and only worked on the go, which was absolutely exhausting.
From the very beginning, Michelle was calm, and incredibly reassuring. Her guidance was clear and gentle, and she made me feel supported every step of the way. I was honestly amazed by how fast things improved as by the second night our baby was sleeping through the night, and naps became predictable, with falling asleep in under 10 minutes.
The change has been huge for me and my baby. I'm so grateful for Michelle and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family struggling with sleep.”
